A lot of us keep our bodies healthy by going to the gym, do you ever consider doing the same for your mind? When I ask my Nan whose 3 years short of becoming a Centenarian what the secret of life is, she usually just smiles and says she’s lived healthily and kept active in ways she found enjoyable. She hasn’t indulged in any self-destructive habits, although she used to have the odd drink, and still enjoys a healthy mix of whole foods. She accepts change and although picking up new technology is beyond her, she marvels at all around her that use it. She embraces life and it embraces her back. Although, like most people, she still feels like she has the mind of a much younger person, the muscles occasionally tell her they’ve had 97 years use, normally when she’s been chopping down trees or moving furniture. So why not get your mind fit as well as those muscles. Come and have a chat with me let’s see if we can get your positive mind active and into full flow. Ever had one of those days when you talk about something and the perfect opportunity presents itself to you a few hours later? It happens to me all the time and today I think someone had turned the tap on full blast. Have you ever tried it? Some call it Law of Attraction, others may call it cosmic ordering, I use it all the time. I use it for finding my perfect parking place in a car park, to meeting someone that I haven’t seen in ages, or just to have a chance encounter with someone. Do I believe it? Well I believe if you have a positive attitude you can do anything you want. Do you want help to find that ‘I can do anything’ attitude? Give me a call, or just think about that chance encounter with me. Like Mr Benn I’ll just appear in the most unlikely places. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr_Benn Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Have you ever stood in the kitchen, opened up the cupboards and looked at the tins, packets, jars, bottles and other ingredients on the shelves? I relate this to helping my clients look inside their subconscious cupboard. By taking some of the ingredients out one by one and examining the packaging, we can check their “use by” dates to see which need discarding. The ingredients that are left are then manipulated to create a perfect dish for my client’s life. You could call it life a la carte. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com I love the fact that when I am not working I have a real variety of interests to keep me entertained. I love to work and learn about people, I guess I am a real people watcher, constantly observing the world. So when the chance came up to learn how to make a digital camera act more like the old film cameras I jumped at it. I am lucky I have a friend who is the most amazing photographer and has worked with a number of famous individuals. She has agreed to teach me. Have a look at her photography on her website www.merrymichau.com So why can photography help me in my work? To me it’s like putting the world on freeze frame in front of you and capturing the emotions. You can look into the eyes (they say they are portals to the souls) and see that real person staring back. Watch this space for my future attempts; I fear I may have a lot of black screens before I start posting pictures. Have a hobby that you’d like to take up but maybe not the fitness, confidence or an injury that is preventing you starting? Give me a call to see how I can help. Becky www.BeckyWells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Not so long a go I visited a friend of mine who is a medium, who told me about some changes that would happen in my life. Now some of you may not believe in mediums. I am open to all experiences and it’s probably why I’ve ended up doing such amazing things in my life. I was looking at my bucket list today and realised that I have almost ticked everything off my list, so I’ll need to start a new one soon. So what’s left on my list? I’ve still got to buy my converted barn, so I think I may have to work 24:7 (or smartly) to achieve that by the end of 2013, or I need to find a rich husband (laughs out loud). Funnily enough I feel the first one is more likely, as I look in the mirror at this rather independent individual known as myself. Although I am still looking for that pint sized blonde snowboarder, but that’s another story. Have you got goals or a bucket list but not the self-confidence to go out and do them? Why not give me a call? Hypnotherapy may be life changing for you. It certainly was for me. Becky www.BeckyWells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Today I went back to my fitness roots as I had booked myself on a group fitness-training course. If I had been told before that I could rest as much as I need I’d never have believed you could run a class like this and still feel like you’ve had the best workout ever. So what is this course? It was called ‘Metabolic effect’ training. To put it in a nutshell it focuses on changing the fat-burning hormonal response to exercise and diet. It does this by changing hormones. Rather than simply eating less or exercising more, the body naturally regulates fat burning, appetite, and mood so that motivation for exercise is enhanced while cravings for food are reduced. So how did I survive a whole day of exercise? Well I am pretty sure every magazine editor and team I’ve ever worked with, and all the Personal Training clients I have ever put through mountain climbers, squats and lunges, would be pleased to learn that I have done a few hundred of them today. It got to the point towards the end of the day when I was wondering if I could extend the rest time until the following Sunday. So watch out friends, I will be looking for willing volunteers to test this out on soon. So if you see me coming you might want to hide! Anyway I’m off to find a box or two of radox to soak in, as I have a feeling I may need a Zimmer frame to move tomorrow. To be continued …. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Do you live your life with memories of the past? Or use them to your advantage to make the future even better? Things that have happened in our past will always be part of our history but what we really want to be able to do with that knowledge is allow it to make us stronger individuals, able to face similar situations but with more positive outcomes. Do you find yourself dwelling on past events and blaming them for everything that happens in the here and now? Hypnotherapy may help you to put those memories back where they belong, on a bookshelf, to use as a reference tool for the future. As Salvador Dali once said “Each morning when I awake, I experience again a supreme pleasure: that of being Salvador Dali.” I wake up looking forward to be me every day and wanting to help you discover that same feeling. If you want help to stack up those metaphorical books on the bookshelf, give me a call. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com I like to think of my change in career from employee to being my own boss, like the journey of a mighty oak tree. Last year, in June, I planted an acorn into the universe when I set up Becky Wells Limited. Over the past six months I have been feeding it and nurturing it, helping it to start from a strong foundation. In the last couple of months I have really started to see the roots start to stretch out, testing unknown grounds, some never making it further than a few yards, others continually expanding. Each root, even if it doesn’t survive, provides feedback for me on routes to avoid or to take extra care of in the future. Now that the roots have firmly taken hold in the ground, I look forward to watching this tree grow into a mighty oak. As it grows it will provide shelter and energy for others and that, to me, is just as important as having something that can last for many years to come. So if you want to spin a web on my tree to give yourself a rest, or just climb aboard for help looking into your future from my top branches, then feel free to grab a branch and enjoy the view with me. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 Becky@beckywells.com “Let me look upward into the branches of the flowering oak and know that it grew great and strong because it grew slowly and well.” |
