Do you sit reading fairy tales to your children, or remember childhood, tales of princesses, knights and happy ever afters?
Life really is like a fairy tale - we just forget to see it that way sometimes. How? Well let’s take that story of the Princess and her ‘evil’ stepmother and how the Princess was banished to the forest to be executed. So the Princess’s life started off happily, playing in the castle without a care in the world, surrounded by people she loved, feeling safe and secure. Life events, such as the loss of her mother, meant her life was turned upside down. Not only losing someone she dearly loved but also feeling like an outsider in her own place of safety. Fast forward a few years and jealousy from her stepmother meant the princess was outcast from the castle. Did this make the Princess bitter and angry? No. She adapted to her new role, not judging others (like the Dwarves) for their size, attitudes or life choices. Eventually she did meet her Princess Charming just by being herself. If we look back and think about most fairy tales we only remember the good parts. The Princess, the friendships she made. But if you look at almost any fairy tale, the main character had to overcome a lot of adversity to get there. Isn’t it about time you took control of your own fairy tale? Not blaming others for the last chapter but realising you really can make your fairy tale have its own happy ending? If you need help writing that next chapter in your book, why not consider hypnotherapy? Think of hypnotherapy as a perfect pair of reading glasses that helps you to see the pages for what they really are, just a story where you really do have control of having that… ‘Happy ever after’.

![]() When you first hear the word ‘relationship’ you may automatically think I am talking about a lover, a partner or spouse. Relationships are more than this. We have relationships with all those around us, friends, family, the shopkeeper from the local shop that hands you your newspaper each day, and many others. If I asked you to create a circle with ten layers in it, each one numbered by how important you are compared to other people, I wonder where you would place yourself in comparison to them? Let me give you an example. You have been in a relationship for many years, so you would place yourself on the same circle as your partner. In a social situation you feel inferior to the opposite sex, reluctant to join in conversations, worried that everyone will laugh at some incorrect comment you may make. How about allowing hypnotherapy to help with gaining a whole new perspective on your social status? Some of the areas I have worked on with individuals are: Feeling an equal partner in a relationship Helping you to appreciate your own position in society. Everyone is important, no matter what or who they are. Helping you to open up, allowing other near them for future relationships, whether this is for friendship or a sexual relationship So let’s start today building that positive relationship you have with YOU first right now. Book in for my ‘A Weight of your Mind’ interactive weight loss seminar at the Chequer Mead Arts Centre in East Grinstead on the 24th of September. I’m giving a free group weight loss hypnotherapy session at the end of the event. http://www.beckywells.com/a-weight-off-your-mind-at-chequer-mead.html Or come and visit me at the Sussex Women’s Show, Brighton Racecourse on the 27th to 28th September. I will also be giving two 20 minute talks at this show. For more information CLICK For bookings CLICK How fresh can your vegetables be? How about freshly picked or pulled from the ground? Just a couple of miles down the road from where I live is a place called Tulley’s Farm. Now this place always reminds me of an Aladdin’s cave. With things you didn’t even know you needed, until you got there, including zombies at their Halloween spooktacular!
They have just opened their PYO (pick your own) fields for people to pick strawberries and Raspberries. Imagine a fresh fruit salad picked from the field, washed and straight on your plate a few hours later. So what is the advantage of having fruit fresh from the branches? As soon as fruit is picked it starts to break down naturally. Eating it within a few hours means you get the most benefit from its essential vitamins and other nutritional benefits. A slice of raw fruit such as pineapple contains over 130% of your recommended daily allowance of vitamin C. Also important they can help to ward off those sweet tooth cravings. Fruit contains a natural sugar which shouldn’t be eaten in large quantities but is a great substitute for raw sugar. Eating fruits with skins on also helps our body build more energy as we eat, because of the need to break down the fibre of their outer skins. So next time you pick up an apple or other such fruit, why not try locally to source them? You’ll know exactly where they’ve come from and I’m pretty sure they’ll taste a lot fresher. If you’re lucky enough to be in West Sussex pop down to Tulley’s Farm. For details visit their website at http://www.tulleysfarm.com/pick-your-own-latest-news or visit their twitter @Tulleys_farm. What local farm shops do you have in your area? Share them with us and let’s boost local. With all my clients, whether they are hypnotherapy, Personal Training or sports massage clients, I try to put myself in their shoes, so to speak. No I don’t have some strange foot fetish before you start to wonder, I mean in the metaphorical sense. Let’s take, for example, a highly skilled executive that comes to see me. When I first met him he came across as bold, confident and sometimes quite abrupt. What I might find underneath is an unconfident introvert inside an extrovert shell. What I try to do with my skills is unravel the layers of protection that have been built up, a bit like an onion with its outer layer thickened by the environment. I help take the layers off one by one until I reach the centre, then, and almost as important, I help them to use those layers to make something even better. So if you would like a hand unpeeling that onion, I have the utensils to give you a hand. I’ll even give you a tissue if it makes your eyes water. As we know teardrops are made of 1% water ![]() Do you wake up in the morning and that sinking feeling sets in as you realise that you have to go to work? Does your life feel a bit like a treadmill stuck on a slow constant speed never moving forward but you are unable to get off? Do you feel that it’s never going to change? My question to you is why? I spent the first ten years of my life walking to the office, sitting down at a desk, filing in paperwork then heading back home tired and drained. So what did I do about it? My initial idea was to transform a hobby, which was fitness, into a part time career around my work. 15 years down the line I have transformed almost like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. I now have a growing business in an area of work that I love, helping people. Yes I had to work hard to get where I am today, sometimes longer hours than when I worked in an office, but the difference was I loved what I was doing. So it’s never seemed like a chore. If you want help to transform into that amazing butterfly, call me and let me help ‘transform YOU’ Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com ![]() A lot of us keep our bodies healthy by going to the gym, do you ever consider doing the same for your mind? When I ask my Nan whose 3 years short of becoming a Centenarian what the secret of life is, she usually just smiles and says she’s lived healthily and kept active in ways she found enjoyable. She hasn’t indulged in any self-destructive habits, although she used to have the odd drink, and still enjoys a healthy mix of whole foods. She accepts change and although picking up new technology is beyond her, she marvels at all around her that use it. She embraces life and it embraces her back. Although, like most people, she still feels like she has the mind of a much younger person, the muscles occasionally tell her they’ve had 97 years use, normally when she’s been chopping down trees or moving furniture. So why not get your mind fit as well as those muscles. Come and have a chat with me let’s see if we can get your positive mind active and into full flow. Well let’s try it. How can I be linked to Tom Cruise? I have done some work as Associate Personal Trainer for Matt Roberts. Matt Roberts has trained Mel C, Mel C is friends and part of the same girl group as Victoria Beckham. Victoria Beckham is married to David Beckham who is good friends with Tom Cruise. Well would have thought it he never calls or phones when we are linked so closely (laughs out loud) It just shows you also what a small world it really is and how friendship can be shared all around the world without a second thought. Do you ever take the time to sit and talk to your friends or are you someone who unloads everything on them? Some people lack the confidence to tell their story, why not allow the quietest person in the group to lead the conversation one day. You may be surprised at the life changing thoughts they have been afraid to share. If you’re that quiet person and feel you don’t have the confidence to speak up get help to overcome it. Hypnotherapy can help to raise your confidence and self esteem. You may not realise it but many top individuals still have underlying confidence issues. They’ve just learnt how to override it with their conscious mind. Wouldn’t it be an amazing if you could feel confident enough to stand up and say, “This is how I’d do it”. Who knows where or what you might end up doing! If you would like help with confidence or self-esteem, give me a call Becky 07801 941949 Becky@beckywells.com www.BeckyWells.com Have you ever seen the film 'Pay it Forward'? I was surprised how many people hadn't when I started to talk about it. It is basically about how one good deed deserves another but rather than returning the good deed to the same person, you suggest they do a good deed for someone else. Therefore you 'Pay it Forward'.
Little did I know until the other day that there is a 'Pay it Forward' Foundation. When I described how I'd done such a deed and tweeted about it. I was amazed and extremely honoured to get a message from Charley Johnson, the head of the pif foundation www.pifexperience.org. Let's get 'pif' rippling out across the UK. Just make one kind gesture and watch the ripple grow! Things have been steady growing work-wise and I can't believe it's been two months since I started the company! I'm looking into setting up a training branch at the moment and I have a meeting set up to discuss international clinics. I already have two people on a waiting list even though it's still only a thought in my head at the moment. There are lots of hypnotherapy clients booked in this week. I think they are all trying to squeeze in before my holiday! What's planned for the rest of the week? Thursday I'm up at my Harley Street clinic. Some of the Glamour magazine team are booked in for sports massage as their weekly mileage increases in preparation for the Great Parks half marathon. Their muscles are starting to wonder what's hit them! This is my 'Pay it Forward' moment this week. I have asked them, rather than paying me, to make a donation to MIND - the charity they are running the half marathon for. MIND can then use the money to help many individuals with mental health issues. And the ripple goes on! Don't forget to watch out for my new advert in Sussex Living this month. It’s been a great mixture of Hypnotherapy, Personal Training, and Sports Massage. I’ve had a steady stream of new clients throughout July that has kept me from sunbathing too much (or was that the lack of sun!). I’m just finished working with Glamour magazine, taking them through a 7 week Matt Roberts ‘Training with You’ programme. On the final week Matt Roberts joined us in Berkeley Square for circuits and the photo shoot. I will miss going up to there on a Tuesday evening and working with such a highly motivated team. Glamour magazine are running the Great Parks Run in Oct for MIND, please sponsor them here http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=GLAMOUR&isTeam=true Harley Street is really starting to pick up now as my profile page is up on the Harley Street Therapy Centres website here http://www.harleystreettherapycentre.co.uk/83/BeckyWells.html. I’m looking forward to meeting new clients up there this week. I had my first international client this week and still have ambitions to take my skills abroad. What’s planned for this week? Monday I’m off to Tulley’s Farm to attempt not to get lost in the Angry Birds maze. So if you don’t see any more blogs, send a search party. Tuesday I have an audition for a TV programme but it’s top secret and you’ll just have to wait and see what that’s all about. The rest of the week is filled with appointments, and maybe the odd time watching an hour or six of the Olympics! So you’ve got your bikinis, suntan cream and suitcase. Have you booked your ‘Training with You’ programme with me to get your beach body or set up a time to have hypnotherapy to build up that confidence or lose weight with the power of your subconscious? If not why not, give me a call, I promise I do not have a swinging pendulum or swirling eyes!! What a start to summer (or glummer) as I heard it called.
Have you ever wondered what hypnotherapy can be used for? I would ask that the other way round. What can't it be used for? Weight loss is one of the areas hypnotherapy can complement and enhance other forms of training such as personal training, pilates and yoga. It gets to the the heart of the matter and can help to change years of bad habits, replacing them with positive ones. I have recently been working with several clients who, by changing their lifestyle and eating habits, lost between 10 and 17 pounds over an eight week period. Confidence and self esteem is another area where people seem to bloom steadily as the sessions progress. For me the reward of seeing someone grow is so motivational and inspires me a little bit more every time. What's planned for this week? Glamour magazine team have taken the Royal Great Parks Half Marathon challenge by the horns and are taking their training shoes all round the world. They took their Asics trainers to Australia on a photo shoot. There's dedication for you! Tuesday they are training in Berkeley Square with myself and Vicky from Matt Roberts 'Training with You'. It's going fantastically well. They've been using muscles in their bodies they didn't even know they had. I'm off to Harley Street to see clients on Thursday. Then topping the week off with a trip to Longines Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead. I went last year for the first time and was so impressed by the events and exhibitors that I am looking forward to this year even more. In the British tradition I am going whatever the weather. That's why 'Hunters' were invented. Becky Wells becky@beckywells.com www.beckywells.com T 07801 941949 Twitter @beckyjoewells facebbok.com/beckywellslimited |
