![]() Sitting trying to write this blog and wondering where does time go? How many days do we waste busily doing nothing? Or is it a waste? Isn’t that time pottering or going for a walk, just as important as the high paced working life? Just think about some of the most famous discoveries and how they were made. Sir Isaac Newton for example and the famous apple incident. Some of our greatest ideas come to us when we’re busily minding our own business. So take time out and let the world pass by, who knows what you might discover? Becky www.BeckyWells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com

![]() Today I’ve been putting the West Sussex County Times reporters through their exercise paces using Matt Roberts ‘Training with You’ programme. A great team who you can tell all have a passion for local stories and work well as a team. Which is lucky considering the amount of banter that flies between them! You can watch the video of some of their antics http://www.wscountytimes.co.uk/news/health/county-times-reporters-get-into-shape-1-4669558 Do you ever stop and ask your friends and family how they are? Or do you off-load all your problems and then run. It’s so important to listen as well. Have you ever thought that the person you are pouring out all your problems to, may be having the same problems? I am lucky that I have a great group of friends who do. The New Year’s been off to a flying start for me. Lots of appointments are building up in my diary. Including a whole mixture of hypnotherapy, personal training and massage. Some people ask me why I choose to do those three together. It seems to me to be the perfect mix. I can take someone from an injury, train them and then use hypnotherapy to help overcome any underlying issues. So I hope your year is going well so far. Don’t forget, as I’ve said before, help everyone you are able to. You never know where that connection will lead you. The Pay it Forward thought for today from the Pay it Forward App “Do something kind for yourself and invite a friend to join you” Let’s make kindness the norm, not the exception. Becky Becky@beckywells.com 07801 941949 www.BeckyWells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net ![]() Well we didn’t have five gold rings last year but the five rings that featured heavily in the news definitely brought a lot of golds home to the Great British team. How do they achieve such amazing feats of athleticism and stamina? Well generally a lot of hard work and a great support team around them. Do you have to be a top athlete or celebrity to have that type of help? The answer is definitely NO. There are Personal Trainers, Sports Therapists, Hypnotherapists and sports coaches all around your area. You just have to Google these days to find them or ask for a recommendation from a friend or family member. I am trained in all three which allows me to take someone from maybe an unfit, unmotivated or even unsure to wherever their hearts and minds want to lead them. I like to think of myself as a stepping-stone helping them along the way. If I can’t help I will always try to recommend someone who can. If you would like a helping hand along that path, why not give me a call and see if I can help you on your journey. As Lao Tzu said “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Becky www.BeckyWells.com + 44 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com ![]() After a lovely ten-day break in Florida, I now feel thoroughly recharged and ready to take up my pen and paper. There is nothing like swimming with thousands of fish, rays and sharks to make you realise how close we really are to nature, or riding a coaster which takes you through various g-forces! Where is your favourite place to relax? Some may find it’s the beach, others a room in their own home. When I see clients for hypnotherapy I use their favourite resting place to increase their relaxed state. My favourite is a sandy beach with my toes just by the edge of the water and the waves almost tickling my toes as they’re gently drawn back into the sea. Do you find it hard to relax? Hypnotherapy can show you how to relax. I work with many individuals who, due to work stress, home stress or just plan stress, just can’t relax. Their bodies just go into a vicious circle. They are unable to sleep due to thoughts in their heads, then unable to work effectively due to insomnia. Hypnotherapy can help put them back in control of their thoughts. Most people I’ve seen for hypnotherapy say they get the best night’s sleep ever following the session. You’d think I’d not been up to much else whilst lazing on loungers and riding rollercoasters. Bet while I was away and after email conversations with Charley Johnson, the President of the Global Pay it Forward Foundation, (www.pifexperience.org) I have now set up a ‘Pay it Forward’ UK group. What is ‘Pay it Forward’? Years ago I watched a film called ‘Pay it Forward’. It was based on a true story of a social studies class that was set an assignment to change the world. One of the young class members decided his project was to be to ‘Pay it Forward’. Do a good deed for three people and instead of expecting a reward you ask them each to ‘Pay it Forward’ to three more people and so it continues like a small ripple getting bigger and bigger. Charley Johnson has taken it one step further by offering a bracelet as a reminder of the deed; we will have 10,000 of these in the UK soon. If you are an individual or a company interested in sponsoring the bracelets in the UK please contact me through my web page www.payitforwarduk.net Don’t forget to let us know your PIF experience when giving and receiving apart from the web page you can also follow us on twitter at https://twitter.com/payitforwarduk Don’t forget to use hashtag #pifuk when tweeting about your ‘Pay it Forward’ experience or email us at payitforwarduk@beckywells.com. What’s in the diary for my first week back? On Monday I’m taking up a new hobby, I’ll leave it till the next blog to tell you all about that. I’m off to see five new personal training clients in Knightsbridge on Monday evening. Then Thursday hopefully will be meeting up with one of the board members from the Pay It Forward foundation. For hypnotherapy, sports massage and personal training appointments please contact me via any of the details below. I look forward to hearing from you. I was surprised how many people hadn't when I started to talk about it. It is basically about how one good deed deserves another but rather than returning the good deed to the same person, you suggest they do a good deed for someone else. Therefore you 'Pay it Forward'.
Little did I know until the other day that there is a 'Pay it Forward' Foundation. When I described how I'd done such a deed and tweeted about it. I was amazed and extremely honoured to get a message from Charley Johnson, the head of the pif foundation www.pifexperience.org. Let's get 'pif' rippling out across the UK. Just make one kind gesture and watch the ripple grow! Things have been steady growing work-wise and I can't believe it's been two months since I started the company! I'm looking into setting up a training branch at the moment and I have a meeting set up to discuss international clinics. I already have two people on a waiting list even though it's still only a thought in my head at the moment. There are lots of hypnotherapy clients booked in this week. I think they are all trying to squeeze in before my holiday! What's planned for the rest of the week? Thursday I'm up at my Harley Street clinic. Some of the Glamour magazine team are booked in for sports massage as their weekly mileage increases in preparation for the Great Parks half marathon. Their muscles are starting to wonder what's hit them! This is my 'Pay it Forward' moment this week. I have asked them, rather than paying me, to make a donation to MIND - the charity they are running the half marathon for. MIND can then use the money to help many individuals with mental health issues. And the ripple goes on! Don't forget to watch out for my new advert in Sussex Living this month. I have held my breath, shed tears of joy and sadness and smiled so much I think I could have lit up a Stadium. Well how to top that, we are all wondering now? Let’s allow that feeling to spill up over the top of the stadium and engulf the whole UK. We proved that working together is easy. Foreigners to our shores have commented on the friendliness and ease of their visit to this great Isle. So how can I follow that! My plan for the year is to make a difference, if I make a positive difference to just one person’s life; I will have succeeded. If I can help more, then everyone I see is just as important as the first. What’s planned for this week? Firstly just remembering to take a breath and enjoy breathing in the pride of the nation. These individuals we’ve watched jump, swim, run and shoot are just like YOU or I! They have trained their bodies and minds to overcome obstacles and setbacks by using these challenges to fuel their motivation to succeed. Changing yourself from the inside may not always be easy without a guiding hand. Hypnotherapy acts as that guiding hand, it reminds you, you’ve done it before and you can do it again. It helps you to grab that favourite memory you’d forgotten about from your past and helps you put it in your pocket for a rainy day. So that’s what I’ve got planned for the week. I’m going to help some individuals find that forgotten memory and store it for that rainy day in the future. It’s been a great mixture of Hypnotherapy, Personal Training, and Sports Massage. I’ve had a steady stream of new clients throughout July that has kept me from sunbathing too much (or was that the lack of sun!). I’m just finished working with Glamour magazine, taking them through a 7 week Matt Roberts ‘Training with You’ programme. On the final week Matt Roberts joined us in Berkeley Square for circuits and the photo shoot. I will miss going up to there on a Tuesday evening and working with such a highly motivated team. Glamour magazine are running the Great Parks Run in Oct for MIND, please sponsor them here http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=GLAMOUR&isTeam=true Harley Street is really starting to pick up now as my profile page is up on the Harley Street Therapy Centres website here http://www.harleystreettherapycentre.co.uk/83/BeckyWells.html. I’m looking forward to meeting new clients up there this week. I had my first international client this week and still have ambitions to take my skills abroad. What’s planned for this week? Monday I’m off to Tulley’s Farm to attempt not to get lost in the Angry Birds maze. So if you don’t see any more blogs, send a search party. Tuesday I have an audition for a TV programme but it’s top secret and you’ll just have to wait and see what that’s all about. The rest of the week is filled with appointments, and maybe the odd time watching an hour or six of the Olympics! So you’ve got your bikinis, suntan cream and suitcase. Have you booked your ‘Training with You’ programme with me to get your beach body or set up a time to have hypnotherapy to build up that confidence or lose weight with the power of your subconscious? If not why not, give me a call, I promise I do not have a swinging pendulum or swirling eyes!! Appointments have been keeping me very busy, spreading my time between London and Sussex. Last Thursday I went up to a ‘Women in Business’ networking meeting with Jon Roberts, a speaker from Matt Roberts Personal Training. What a fantastic motivational talk. I picked up the keys to my Harley Street consulting room last Thursday, so appointments will now be available there on a Thursday afternoon. The training with Team Glamour from Glamour magazine is going fantastically well. They are such highly motivated people who work so well together. They are training for the Great Parks run in London in October and are raising money for MIND. You can follow their training blog on http://www.glamourmagazine.co.uk/love-sex-relationships/health-fitness/2012/team-glamour-running-blog#!image-number=1and see what training myself and Vicky from the Matt Roberts ‘Training with You’ team have been putting them through. My Matt Roberts ‘Training With You’ ladies in Mid Sussex are also doing amazingly well with their sessions. They have been going for four weeks now and have lost almost 16 kilograms between them already (almost 30 bags of sugar)! They have lost 25cms around their waist and 12.5cms round their hips between them. Keep up the great work ladies. So what’s planned for next week? Well lots more hypnotherapy and sports therapy clients are booked in but I have given myself the day off for my birthday on Wednesday 11th (21st birthday again for the 17th time)! Monday at 9am I’ll be over in East Grinstead on the Meridian 107 FM Breakfast radio show I sponsor with Mark Dodson, and then off for my coffee at Mr Andre’s coffee shop. I’ve missed them whilst I’ve been so busy the last few weeks. On Tuesday evening, why not come and watch us train the Glamour Team in Berkeley Square. Fingers crossed the rain stays away! Don’t forget to follow my articles in Sussex Living Magazine. Another week has drawn to a close and a new week opens, edging us even closer to March. It was great to wave goodbye to the flu last week and then start rebuilding my fitness levels for the Sussex Living Marathon weekend in May.
This morning, as most Monday mornings, I put Mark from Meridian 107 FM radio through some health and fitness analysis including testing his blood pressure and body composition while we were on air. Last week I had him on a spin bike on air. Who knows what I’ve got in store for him next week! If you’re not local you can listen via the web at meridianfm.com. After the radio show, my morning ritual is a soya Americano at Peter Andre’s New York Coffee Club in East Grinstead. It really sets me up for the day. And who knows, one day I might meet Peter or his brothers there. That really would be the cream on the coffee! I spent the weekend at one of Matt Roberts’ personal training studios in London. He and his team inducted me into his new ‘Training with you’ programme, run in association with Conviviality. It’s a tailored six-week programme delivered by an Associate Personal trainer, offering expert training and nutritional advice to enable you to get results. I am now one of these Matt Roberts ‘Associate Personal Trainers’ and will be travelling round Surrey, East and West Sussex delivering the programme. For more information please visit www.conviviality.com or www.mattroberts.co.uk This coming week I have several new hypnotherapy clients booked in and I’m looking forward to meeting them and helping them achieve their goals. It’s great to know that advertising in Sussex Living magazine is so effective. A local lady had cut out the advert and approached me to ask if she could have hypnotherapy. What else have I got planned for this week? Well this coming weekend I am back off to London again to complete my acupuncture training with Bernard Nolan at The Third Space in Soho. And even more importantly I am so looking forward to Pancake Day!!
