I am thinking of investing in a canoe to get between clients if the rain continues. What a start to summer (or glummer) as I heard it called.
Have you ever wondered what hypnotherapy can be used for? I would ask that the other way round. What can't it be used for? Weight loss is one of the areas hypnotherapy can complement and enhance other forms of training such as personal training, pilates and yoga. It gets to the the heart of the matter and can help to change years of bad habits, replacing them with positive ones. I have recently been working with several clients who, by changing their lifestyle and eating habits, lost between 10 and 17 pounds over an eight week period. Confidence and self esteem is another area where people seem to bloom steadily as the sessions progress. For me the reward of seeing someone grow is so motivational and inspires me a little bit more every time. What's planned for this week? Glamour magazine team have taken the Royal Great Parks Half Marathon challenge by the horns and are taking their training shoes all round the world. They took their Asics trainers to Australia on a photo shoot. There's dedication for you! Tuesday they are training in Berkeley Square with myself and Vicky from Matt Roberts 'Training with You'. It's going fantastically well. They've been using muscles in their bodies they didn't even know they had. I'm off to Harley Street to see clients on Thursday. Then topping the week off with a trip to Longines Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead. I went last year for the first time and was so impressed by the events and exhibitors that I am looking forward to this year even more. In the British tradition I am going whatever the weather. That's why 'Hunters' were invented. Becky Wells becky@beckywells.com www.beckywells.com T 07801 941949 Twitter @beckyjoewells facebbok.com/beckywellslimited

The countdown has begun. This is the final week I work as an employee. From next week I am the employer!
This is the start of something amazing and I really can't wait to set out on this whole new adventure. So what have I been up to last week? Well on Tuesday I headed up to Central London to work with Vicky from Matt Robert's team, who are running the 'Training with You" programme in association with Conviviality. We are working with Glamour Magazine as they tone, train and test their bodies in a build up to their first half marathon at the Great Parks run. They are running in aid of MIND, a charity which helps individuals with mental illness by offering support, advice and just letting them know someone cares. You can follow Team Glamour's training blog here As hypnotherapy is my main line of work alongside Personal Training I know all to well how important it is knowing you're not alone in troubled times. The reason I became a hypnotherapist as well as a Personal Trainer is that I wanted to take training people to a whole new depth. It's all very well training your body but with a well balanced mind your training can be awesome, as they say in the USA! I had a client a few years ago who when I first met them could only walk five minutes on a treadmill and was extremely unconfident. Now she has run 10 miles in an hour and a half and is so much more confident in herself. Her story inspired me to get to where I am today. Now I want to inspire others to do the same, which is why for me there is no bog standard training session, everyone needs that magic ingredient to gain their fullest potential. I've been working with another group on the Matt Roberts 'Training with You' programme more locally in Hassocks. They've all stormed off to an amazing start in the first week losing inches and reducing body fat percentage. They are a great group to work with and I look forward to working with them for the next few weeks. What's planned for the following week? I pick up the keys to the room I'm using at No.1 -7 Harley Street this week and you can now book directly with me for a session there. Tuesday I'm off to London to train the Glamour magazine team in Berkeley Square. Thursday I'm off to London to a Women in Business meeting in Shoreditch. Thought it might be a great way to get to know more people as my business is expanding to Central London. ![]() Monday morning I was up bright and early and off to the Meridian 107 FM studios in East Grinstead to take part in the Breakfast show I sponsor with presenter Mark Dodson. I invited ‘Jane Pattenden’ a friend and fellow trainer to talk about her new qualification in ‘Hypopresive Training’. She put Mark through his paces but having man flu didn’t help him. Thursday I went up to number 1 Harley Street to view a new therapy room to rent, which I am hoping to rent through the Harley Street Therapy centre. The room I have chosen has the most amazing view over the start of Harley Street and down to the Coutts building opposite. I am hoping it will be all up and running within a month. I am busy exploring all the amazing outcomes you can achieve from using hypnotherapy. It’s so inspiring to help someone take control back of their own future in such a positive way, that they feel completely in control of. What’s planned for this week? I’m off to the radio station Monday morning presuming I can get through all the road works in East Grinstead which is a challenge in itself! I’m looking forward to catching up with all my clients to hear about how much they’ve achieved since I last saw them. For information on hypnotherapy, sports massage, personal training and acupuncture in Sussex and Surrey contact Becky Wells at www.beckywells.com Follow me on twitter @beckyjoewells Give me a call 07801 941949 It’s Monday. Another week has drawn to a close and a new week opens, edging us even closer to March. It was great to wave goodbye to the flu last week and then start rebuilding my fitness levels for the Sussex Living Marathon weekend in May.
This morning, as most Monday mornings, I put Mark from Meridian 107 FM radio through some health and fitness analysis including testing his blood pressure and body composition while we were on air. Last week I had him on a spin bike on air. Who knows what I’ve got in store for him next week! If you’re not local you can listen via the web at meridianfm.com. After the radio show, my morning ritual is a soya Americano at Peter Andre’s New York Coffee Club in East Grinstead. It really sets me up for the day. And who knows, one day I might meet Peter or his brothers there. That really would be the cream on the coffee! I spent the weekend at one of Matt Roberts’ personal training studios in London. He and his team inducted me into his new ‘Training with you’ programme, run in association with Conviviality. It’s a tailored six-week programme delivered by an Associate Personal trainer, offering expert training and nutritional advice to enable you to get results. I am now one of these Matt Roberts ‘Associate Personal Trainers’ and will be travelling round Surrey, East and West Sussex delivering the programme. For more information please visit www.conviviality.com or www.mattroberts.co.uk This coming week I have several new hypnotherapy clients booked in and I’m looking forward to meeting them and helping them achieve their goals. It’s great to know that advertising in Sussex Living magazine is so effective. A local lady had cut out the advert and approached me to ask if she could have hypnotherapy. What else have I got planned for this week? Well this coming weekend I am back off to London again to complete my acupuncture training with Bernard Nolan at The Third Space in Soho. And even more importantly I am so looking forward to Pancake Day!! Well on Monday 13th Feb I have challenged Meridian 107 FM Breakfast Show presenter Mark Dodson to use a Spin Bike whilst presenting his show between 9 and 9:30. The Triangle leisure centre in Burgess Hill had kindly loaned me a spin bike, so there was no excuses for him. He took the challenge and succeeded in 30 mins on the spin bike, although I think he may feel it tomorrow. What challenge shall I set him next week on the show!! Hypnotherapy sessions are now up and running and my client base is steadily growing, after two weeks with a lack of voice due to catching the flu like everyone around me! Looking forward to the weekend of the 18th/19th Feb, I ‘m off to spend the weekend training with Matt Roberts and the Conviviality team in Matt’s Studio in the City. Hopefully by the end of the weekend they’ll be happy for me to work as a part of the team. Watch out in the National magazines and press for further details being launched soon, if you’ve not already seen it featured in the Telegraph. I spent the weekend at the start of the month learning acupuncture with Bernard Nolan for use with muscular-skeletal treatment e.g. massage. I have been practicing my needling techniques on willing volunteers and I’m looking forward to part two of the course on the 25th/26thFeb at The Third Space, Soho, London. For information on hypnotherapy, sports massage, personal training and soon acupuncture in Sussex and Surrey contact Becky Wells at www.beckywells.com Follow me on twitter @beckyjoewells Another week’s just beginning, after what turned out to be a very hectic previous one.
Last week I went up to Knightsbridge for an informal interview with Matt Roberts Personal Training team. I met a very professional lady called Vicky at the training studio and have been lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to work with the team as an associate personal trainer after being selected from over 100 applicants apparently. Looks like this could be an exciting new step, watch this space. Whilst in Knightsbridge I thought I’d pop into Harrods and whilst chatting to the sales guy, he offered to put my business card up in the staff room. Now wouldn’t that be something, getting a client from Harrods! Saturday I was wearing my other hat following stories for my Sussex Living articles. A local small holding phoned me to say their sheep had started lambing. You can’t beat seeing a lamb being born; it melts your heart when they let out that first bleat. Read all about it in the March issue of Sussex Living. I’ve given a sports massage voucher to the Burgess Hill Pamper Shopping & Craft Event for Breast Cancer care for their raffle. The event is taking place on Friday 30th March between 6pm and 9:30pm at Burgess Hill School for Girls. Let’s support the event, it's such a worthy cause. I’m off to London this weekend to start my acupuncture training with Bernard Nolan and somewhere in between, I need to plan what exercise regime I’m going to put Mark, the Meridian FM Breakfast presenter, through when I go on the show next Monday. For information on hypnotherapy, sports massage, personal training and soon acupuncture in Sussex and Surrey contact Becky Wells at www.beckywells.com Follow me on twitter @beckyjoewells Give me a call 07801 941949 The world of beckywells.com has started this year with all guns blazing! The other day I was accepted on an acupuncture course for sports therapists which I start later in the month up in London. I'm so excited. I've wanted to do this for years! Also the Conviviality team, who are working with the amazing Matt Roberts, Personal Trainer, have invited me for a chat in Knightsbridge this week. I'm going to do just a little shopping while I'm there! In another development, Meridian 107 FM Community Radio Station in East Grinstead have asked me to sponsor their Breakfast Show. Listen out for me starting on the 23rd January. This week I’ve started my training for the Sussex Living Mid Sussex Marathon weekend in May. My running trainers have been dusted off and I treated myself to a new running strip. Those who know me know about the fish and animals that live with me. Fish can be a great source of relaxation, so I took myself off to Crawley and bought myself some new salt water fish and creepy crawlies. Take me into Gucci and I would probably buy nothing, take me in an aquatic shop and I’ll come out with half the shop and go back for the other half later. It's magical just watching them all whizz around in the corals and live rock. Please don't forget to read Sussex Living magazine as I try out different activities. Next month is all about exercising with the elderly. |
