We all live in a world where we are told what to do, whether consciously or subconsciously, by other people. It can be our spouse or our employer or even the adverts we watch on TV. These instructions even get internalised after a while so we just follow them without being asked.
When will it be time to take back those controls and say ‘no’? Right now I say. A see a lot of clients who, behind that shield they have put up to protect them, have dreams, ambitions and visions that would change the world for the better. If only they’d learn how to break down that barrier in front of them. What who you do if you had all that confidence? Start a business? Stand up to the bullies around you? What is stopping you from doing it right now? Take a look in the mirror. Who do you see staring back at you? Imagine for a moment that this person wasn’t you but someone else. Maybe a friend. What advice would you give them about their dreams and ambitions? I suspect you’d encourage them to go for it. Having a higher level of confidence can have great benefits in all areas of your life, from relationships, career and even your own state of mind. It give you the faith to stand up and be that unique individual that you are. Confidence is a skill that can be developed. It has no boundaries when it comes to age, religion or gender. As your confidence grows you’ll also notice your body posture becomes more upright. Strange but true. Standing tall when walking down the street, smiling more. Hypnotherapy can help you reach that goal by first teaching you how to relax. For more information visit my website www.beckywells.com image:Pixabay
