The most natural way for anyone to lose weight is to eat less and eat better. Sounds simple, but of course it isn't.
Many actions that are beneficial to us are simple and we have usually no problem doing them. Washing our hair. Bathing. Breathing in fresh air when out on a walk. Saying hello to someone we know. All good actions and easy to do. But eating well is another story. There are foods that some people find seriously addictive. There are some foods that are not very addictive but constant exposure to advertising for them can make us eat more than we know we should. And I don't mean 'should' in some moral sense but in the sense that we just know that the after effect of eating those things is something we won't enjoy. We become fatter than we want to be, for example. It's funny but there is no problem persuading someone to not hit themselves in the face with a hammer because of the after effects, so why is it so hard to persuade us to not eat harmful food? The problem is addiction and association. Certain foods are naturally addictive. And we may associate certain foods with trauma in childhood for example. Or associate it with other emotional memories. That's why Hypnosis is a good answer. Hypnotherapy deals directly with addiction, emotion, trauma, habits, anxiety, all those subconscious goings-on that you would like your conscious mind to be back in control of. |

A Client's Story
After years of desperately trying to lose weight through diets and exercise, and my weight yo-yoing, I decided to try hypnotherapy. Becky was recommended to me by a friend so I gave her a call. We hit it off straight away. She understood my stresses and sympathized with my problems. A week later I went to see Becky in her Sussex clinic. Weight gain is simply a matter of eating too much (excluding certain medical conditions that affect weight). But you know that. A programme of hypnotherapy with six sessions and free access to my online weight loss course 'Healthy Mind, Healthy Body'. You may or may not realise it, but if you have been fighting weight gain for any length of time, you will have built up many blind-spots and self-deceptions that I will need to treat. I will be using all of the techniques at my disposal including Hypnosis, Kinetic Shift and Mindscaping. I may also need to be blunt with you about your habits.
