What an amazing night last night. Two hundred people got together to raise money for a little girl who needs an operation in the US. Organised by a godmother of Matilda, the ball was a fantastic night out. Live auctions of gifts money just can’t buy, raffles and photo-booths. All with one thing in common, they were donating their time and skills to www.walkingmatildausa.com Did we all know Matilda? I found out a lot of us did not before hearing about the events, but we had all been touched by the story and wanted to help. Would you consider helping a complete stranger? I can highly recommend it, it’s so rewarding. It doesn’t always have to cost anything, a friendly smile, a hug even the use of a friendly ear. I know some will not understand why I do it. I know that some of you have already got involved. I’ve set up a new Facebook page ‘Pay it Forward Sussex’, let’s see how far these ripples from the South can go. “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

It’s so much easier to talk to people all around the world these days. Through the power of social internet sites, I regularly have simultaneous conversations with friends in Africa, Australia and the USA from the comfort of my own home. Knowing someone is just there to talk is sometimes the difference between days filled with silence, to a day feeling like you are part of a community, whether local or global. I am proud to say that the group of ladies I teach in Aqua make everyone feel part of a community. If one of them is off due to illness, someone will check and when one decides to move to another part of the world, a leaving party is always first on the agenda. You almost feel part of an extended family, nobody is judged, everyone is welcome and splashing is optional (unless you’re me apparently) Are you part of a group that wants to exercise but don’t know where? Why not speak to me about starting small exercise groups. It may not be as expensive as you think. Becky www.BeckyWells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com If I ask you to look in a mirror and tell me who you saw looking back, I wonder what you would say? When I look in the mirror I see a person who loves life, has a thirst for helping others and is willing to take every opportunity thrown at her. When I have asked my clients in the past they have told me they’ve seen a person with low self esteem, bullied, or with no love of life in it’s current state. What would I like to do with that reflection, using hypnotherapy and other skills combined? Allow you to stand there staring back at your reflection and say “wow you’re amazing” If you want to step through the looking glass, give me a call. Who knows where that first glance may lead you? Becky www.beckywells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com I imagine a fair few people will have been sharing cards, flowers and token gifts with loved ones this Valentine’s Day. We wanted to make it a little bit special today for someone less fortunate. Local school kids made Valentine’s cards for me with heartfelt messages inside. So how to distribute them? Myself and a couple of friends headed down to Brighton and with the help of Domino’s Pizzas we set out to deliver pizza and a card to random homeless people and also treats for their canine companions. Each was gratefully and humbly received. We were presented with a flower by one, and another told us it was the first Valentine’s card he had ever received. They all surprised us by how hungrily they took the pizza out of the box and the gratitude they showed to us as pizza delivery people. That will stay in my mind for a very long time. Do you wake up in the morning and that sinking feeling sets in as you realise that you have to go to work? Does your life feel a bit like a treadmill stuck on a slow constant speed never moving forward but you are unable to get off? Do you feel that it’s never going to change? My question to you is why? I spent the first ten years of my life walking to the office, sitting down at a desk, filing in paperwork then heading back home tired and drained. So what did I do about it? My initial idea was to transform a hobby, which was fitness, into a part time career around my work. 15 years down the line I have transformed almost like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. I now have a growing business in an area of work that I love, helping people. Yes I had to work hard to get where I am today, sometimes longer hours than when I worked in an office, but the difference was I loved what I was doing. So it’s never seemed like a chore. If you want help to transform into that amazing butterfly, call me and let me help ‘transform YOU’ Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Snow had covered the Ashdown Forest as I drove through it this morning. The trees formed a white tunnel over the road and the grass was a blanket of white. Who knows what colours hid underneath, reds, purples, greens, maybe all the colours of the rainbow. When I work with clients, I like to start out with a blank canvas in front of me. Firstly I’ll put the background in (their past history), and then the main focus (the client), finally I put in all the scenery and objects around them (their goals, ambitions and objectives). So from that blank canvas I try to help create a perfect masterpiece for that person sitting in front of me. So if you want help creating that perfect canvas, let me help you by handing you a few paints brushes to try out your colours. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Ever had one of those days when you talk about something and the perfect opportunity presents itself to you a few hours later? It happens to me all the time and today I think someone had turned the tap on full blast. Have you ever tried it? Some call it Law of Attraction, others may call it cosmic ordering, I use it all the time. I use it for finding my perfect parking place in a car park, to meeting someone that I haven’t seen in ages, or just to have a chance encounter with someone. Do I believe it? Well I believe if you have a positive attitude you can do anything you want. Do you want help to find that ‘I can do anything’ attitude? Give me a call, or just think about that chance encounter with me. Like Mr Benn I’ll just appear in the most unlikely places. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr_Benn Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Not so long a go I visited a friend of mine who is a medium, who told me about some changes that would happen in my life. Now some of you may not believe in mediums. I am open to all experiences and it’s probably why I’ve ended up doing such amazing things in my life. I was looking at my bucket list today and realised that I have almost ticked everything off my list, so I’ll need to start a new one soon. So what’s left on my list? I’ve still got to buy my converted barn, so I think I may have to work 24:7 (or smartly) to achieve that by the end of 2013, or I need to find a rich husband (laughs out loud). Funnily enough I feel the first one is more likely, as I look in the mirror at this rather independent individual known as myself. Although I am still looking for that pint sized blonde snowboarder, but that’s another story. Have you got goals or a bucket list but not the self-confidence to go out and do them? Why not give me a call? Hypnotherapy may be life changing for you. It certainly was for me. Becky www.BeckyWells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Do you live your life with memories of the past? Or use them to your advantage to make the future even better? Things that have happened in our past will always be part of our history but what we really want to be able to do with that knowledge is allow it to make us stronger individuals, able to face similar situations but with more positive outcomes. Do you find yourself dwelling on past events and blaming them for everything that happens in the here and now? Hypnotherapy may help you to put those memories back where they belong, on a bookshelf, to use as a reference tool for the future. As Salvador Dali once said “Each morning when I awake, I experience again a supreme pleasure: that of being Salvador Dali.” I wake up looking forward to be me every day and wanting to help you discover that same feeling. If you want help to stack up those metaphorical books on the bookshelf, give me a call. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Such a small word, but it can make a huge difference to how you go about your daily life. For example “if I go out and talk to that chairman of the local women’s group, I may create a whole new network of links”. In comparison to “When I go and see the Chairman, I will form new networks”. The self-doubting “if” is like a little nagging gremlin on your shoulder saying ‘what if they don’t like me; what if I can’t answer the questions they throw at me?’. I always go with the ”when”. ‘When’ I go to that meeting I know that I have a great foundation of knowledge from inspirational sources. I do not know everything and I know I am not expected to. I like my head to be small enough to still fit through a doorway. I also go there expecting to absorb more information from those I meet to make me an even better therapist. In the career I have chosen I always expect to learn, and I don’t mean from textbooks or courses. Take time to observe the people you work with, my job is never going to be 9-5 and to be honest. I’d have no idea what to do with my spare time if that was the case. Be a listener… be a ‘When’ person… not an ‘if’ person. I look forward to bumping into you ‘When’ our paths cross because I know they will.
