Trying to write a blog tonight but my mind is rather blank. Do you ever have one of those days when nothing sticks and your mind appears to have come in a non-stick variety? It started to make me realise it’s a bit like our daily life. We start with a blank page and fill it with thoughts, feelings and emotions gradually throughout the day. If you could write your own page out with no restrictions I wonder what it would read like? Would you be writing about getting up at a later time than you have to? Would you be working somewhere completely different or maybe lying on a beach somewhere instead? Find a page in a diary or just a blank piece of paper. Write down your ideal day, how you’d feel, and then I challenge to do it. I know some of you have already started on them. If for some of those changes you need an extra hand, you know where I am. How would you describe yourself if you had to describe yourself as a menu? If you had to set your life out as a menu, I wonder which dishes you would include? For my starter, I would choose a prawn cocktail. My foundations and beliefs are based on values from the past. So a little bit of 70’s / 80’s nostalgia describes my core beliefs. For my mains, I would have to describe myself as a fillet steak with handmade chips and fresh seasonal vegetables. Full of energy, no hidden surprises, what you see is what you get. Finally me as a dessert? Well I would have to say profiteroles. Protective shell on the outside, sweet and cheeky filling on the inside and something you can feel you could always go back to again and again. Because it feels like your best friend. What would your menu consist of, is there a menu you can see but just can’t find the ingredients? Why not ask me, I may be able to help turn your menu in to a Michelin star review for you. Becky www.Beckywells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Too much talking last week, now I’m losing my voice. It’s so important to remember one’s own advice sometimes and take a ‘time out’. Put down the phones, pack away the computers and allow yourself some ‘me time’. I am as guilty as everyone else of picking up the phone to check, just in case! Tonight I can’t I’ve left it in Tinsley Green, and do I miss it? No I don’t! There are so many ways you can just enjoy the moment. Take a walk in the country with your phone turned off, meditate, or book in for a hypnotherapy relaxation session with me. Even if you don’t feel you need hypnotherapy for anything in particular, that 30 minute time out is so refreshing. Imagine being able to go into a meeting focused, full of energy and refreshed. Hypnotherapy lunchtime power booster, now there’s an idea. If you want to take your lunch break imagining you’re on a beach, or relaxing in a hammock planning your next strategy, give me a call and I’ll give you a lift up to that perfect place to relax for you. Becky www.beckywells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com A rainy Sunday afternoon is a perfect time to relax and watch the afternoon movies on TV. Our minds are quite amazing pieces of equipment. I noticed whilst watching the films this afternoon, that my subconscious mind was busy suggesting to itself what it would do in a similar situation. I believe hypnotherapy works in the same way, you preoccupy the conscious mind using relaxation and while it’s distracted, allow the subconscious to open up and absorb beneficial information. What can hypnotherapy help with? What about habits. What about personal and business confidence? The answer is yes for these and many other issues. Do you have to believe in hypnotherapy for it to work? No. It can still work, the only important thing I will establish is that the client is having hypnotherapy for themselves and not to please someone else. So if you’d like to take a time out with beneficial effects, give me a call and I can talk to you ‘while you were sleeping’. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com A lot of us keep our bodies healthy by going to the gym, do you ever consider doing the same for your mind? When I ask my Nan whose 3 years short of becoming a Centenarian what the secret of life is, she usually just smiles and says she’s lived healthily and kept active in ways she found enjoyable. She hasn’t indulged in any self-destructive habits, although she used to have the odd drink, and still enjoys a healthy mix of whole foods. She accepts change and although picking up new technology is beyond her, she marvels at all around her that use it. She embraces life and it embraces her back. Although, like most people, she still feels like she has the mind of a much younger person, the muscles occasionally tell her they’ve had 97 years use, normally when she’s been chopping down trees or moving furniture. So why not get your mind fit as well as those muscles. Come and have a chat with me let’s see if we can get your positive mind active and into full flow. Becky www.beckyWells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com I like to think of my change in career from employee to being my own boss, like the journey of a mighty oak tree. Last year, in June, I planted an acorn into the universe when I set up Becky Wells Limited. Over the past six months I have been feeding it and nurturing it, helping it to start from a strong foundation. In the last couple of months I have really started to see the roots start to stretch out, testing unknown grounds, some never making it further than a few yards, others continually expanding. Each root, even if it doesn’t survive, provides feedback for me on routes to avoid or to take extra care of in the future. Now that the roots have firmly taken hold in the ground, I look forward to watching this tree grow into a mighty oak. As it grows it will provide shelter and energy for others and that, to me, is just as important as having something that can last for many years to come. So if you want to spin a web on my tree to give yourself a rest, or just climb aboard for help looking into your future from my top branches, then feel free to grab a branch and enjoy the view with me. Becky www.beckywells.com / www.payitforwarduk.net 07801 941949 Becky@beckywells.com “Let me look upward into the branches of the flowering oak and know that it grew great and strong because it grew slowly and well.” I wonder if the type of art we love is linked to the person that we are? I absolutely love Salvador Dali’s work, my favourite painting is the ‘Persistence of Memory’. Even if you haven’t heard of this you’ve probably seen it. The clock is melted over a twig. Lots of gadget shops have been selling these clocks this year. I love surreal but understandable images. Maybe this is how my subconscious feels to me sometimes. What is your favourite artist? Can you link that to how you feel within yourself? Do you have an emotion you just can’t get the better of? Can you describe it as a piece of artwork? Consider hypnotherapy, it helps the subconscious mind take control again. It may sound strange but you’d be surprised what a painting can tell me. I am quite a visual person so painting a picture in my mind of what I see helps me to lead you to your own easel to paint your new and positive future. Unleash the artist within and give me a call. There are a lot of medical conditions that silently hide within us, until they escape out with a potential fatal effect one day. Oh yes but I’m fine I hear you say. Let’s take high blood pressure for example. You can’t join most gyms without having a reading. Doctors’ surgeries and many pharmacies offer regular checks for you. ‘But it’s only high blood pressure’. I wonder if you know that high blood pressure is known as “the silent killer”. It increases your risk of having cardiovascular problems such as strokes, heart attacks or other serious cardiac conditions. So what’s this got to do with what I do in my life? For many years now I have worked with people who have come to me to due to an increased blood pressure reading and other cardiac related conditions. They are referred by their GPs to me for moderate exercise, which has been proven to reduce blood pressure. More recently I have been working with individuals using hypnotherapy. How can hypnotherapy help? It can teach you the art of relaxation. Making you able to stay calm and in control of a situation just by using the power of your own breath. Sometimes I feel like I should start lunchtime hypno-bytes, lunchtime hypnotherapy for high-powered executives in Central London. Almost like a power nap. Their afternoon deals would benefit from a refreshed subconscious mind. So have your blood pressure checked regularly and listen to the advice from the professionals. If your employer, doctor’s surgery or local gym offers you a health check make use of the service. It might just save your life. An uncomfortable feeling creeps up on you and you still have to take that one extra mouthful. We’ve all done it. I did it tonight. I’m feeling like a Buddha-shaped girl. Many people have a compulsion to over eat. It’s not something they can help. Actually in most cases it’s just a habit that has become out of control due to any number of reasons. Maybe that’s you. So if I asked you what caused your excessive eating you might say “I do it when I am upset”, “It started when I retired”, “When I lost my job” or another life changing and upsetting event. Hypnotherapy allows you to access your own subconscious mind where your bad habits and your bad life experiences are stored. Working with your hypnotherapist these issues are examined and demystified. In a safe environment, you are taught to relax and allow your subconscious mind to open up and make a positive effect on your future behavior around food. So put down that knife and fork, take a few deep breaths and give me a call. Hypnotherapy is an ancient, safe and effective tool that helps you use the power of your subconscious mind to enhance your conscious daily life. It can soothe fears, mend uncomfortable thoughts and bring you closer to the person you want to be and CAN be. Becky www.BeckyWells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Seven days have already passed of this New Year. How many of you have already been tempted by one of the seven deadly sins? Pride has been called the sin from which all the others arise. Pride may also be known as Vanity. Were you offered help but your pride stopped you accepting it? Hypnotherapy for pride may help develop a personal pride that is needed in building up self-image, self-confidence and the ability to allow others to help whilst still feeling in control. Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation. Have you watched other people and been envious of all that they are doing? Do you forget all the amazing stuff that you actually achieved yourself? Again with hypnotherapy for envy, it may be that one of the sessions is to do with self-esteem, allowing the individual’s subconscious mind to realise all the things it already has. Gluttony is a desire to consume more than one requires. Do you eat just because it’s in front of you, feel full and carry on eating? There are many ways of working with food issues using hypnotherapy. We look at past events which have lead to the food issues, to some of my clients favorite ones, avoiding sweet stuff completely. Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body. Again there are many ways hypnotherapy may help with all sexual issues such as teaching relaxation techniques to preventing over excitement. Anger also known as Wrath. Hypnotherapy can be used in many situations, from teaching someone how to stay in control using relaxation techniques. A good example of this is road rage, being able to control your temper instead of getting angry at another driver or pedestrian. Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of spiritual gain. Are you always trying to gain that extra dollar no matter what the consequences? Hypnotherapy can help you to learn to slow down and allows others to gain. Have you ever helped someone and later found out they will help you in the future more than you can ever imagine That older person in the street, might just be the Mother or Father of someone who will change your life because you did a good deed with no material gain. Again it may be using hypnotherapy to help you gain the confidence to make that connection. Sloth or extreme laziness is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work. If you lack confidence this can come across as laziness or maybe fear of the unknown. Hypnotherapy may help with fear, anxiety, and confidence issues. Hypnotherapy is used for so many reasons, it really isn’t some form of medieval magic. It just helps the conscious mind to relax and allow the amazing subconscious mind to work at its best. Why not give me a call to book that first session. I am currently based in Harley Street London and Sussex. Let’s start to break down those deadly sins.
