Have you ever felt like you’re waiting at a bus stop for the right weight loss bus to come along? Sometimes you might even jump on a bus thinking it’s going to take you to the right destination only to discover yourself jumping off several stops later. I wonder what makes you try that that particular bus? Maybe the fancy selling techniques with promises of amazing results at your destination, or maybe they’ve discounted it? Did you ever look to see if you’d ever been on that bus before? What about taking the hypnotherapy ticket next time? You may be going back on that same old bus but this time you notice you have all your own skills packed in your bag to use along the journey. Not only that but when you get a few stops or even further you find you only want to jump off to get on the next leg of your journey. So now you’re not always ‘weighting to get off’ but ‘weighting’ to take that journey to a whole new you. I was just reading this article about how smartphones are the way to lose weight? It got me thinking. The studies indicated that clients using the apps showed an average weight loss of 10lbs in six months. What it didn’t suggest is combining two or three solutions together to form a perfect package for each individual. How about a weight loss app combined with hypnotherapy to change habits? Or even both the above with a personalised training programme? Training doesn’t have to involve a gym. I walk and exercise my dog ever day. Fitness and fresh air, what more could you ask for? So why just a smart app? Make yourself the smart ‘app’ by choosing the right “clicks” to make your body work effectively? Definitely not time to put those winter woollies away yet. Whilst out for a walk today with hat, scarf, coat and thermals, I was looking around as I walk at all the wild plants in suspension. Bluebells desperately holding onto their blooms and buds on trees staying tightly closed. Do we hold onto things too long sometimes? How many times have you held onto a thought and allowed it to eat into you for way too long? Hypnotherapy can help to unlock those damaged trails of thought patterns and help to create new pathways and fresh outlooks on the walk of life. Or are you up and out the door before the alarm goes off, raring to go? I was back to the office today, catching up with appointments I had to postpone before my holiday. Loved catching up with all they’ve been up to and, like a proud Mum, listening to all their achievements so far. I am lucky enough to have a job I love, and most importantly I get to feel proud when I make a positive difference to someone’s life. Have you ever wanted to change careers maybe, become that Lion keeper or boat maker… so many careers are there for the taking. I use hypnotherapy to build up individuals’ self esteem, confidence and even interview confidence. If you feel it’s time for a change and feel you are missing that certain factor to achieve it, just give me a call and I’ll help you get the ball rolling. As usual I’ve had a fun filled one, never quite knowing what’s round the corner type of week. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I promised myself a long time ago if I didn’t like something I’d change it. I also made a promise to myself that I would not judge what I hear from others. Sometimes I go and get things wrong but all I put that down to is a new life lesson. I like to think of my life as on a quite squiggly line, always going to get somewhere, sometimes taking the strangest route on the way. Isn’t that the fun of it though? Have a fantastic weekend. If you get the chance to do something different, grab it with both hands and go along for the ride, barefoot if you like. So what if you get muddy feet? Becky www.beckywells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com What did you want to be when you were younger? Did you have ambitions to be an astronaut or the next member of the Beatles, Bros or the Spice Girls? I always wanted to be in the Police but, due to a back injury, that never happened. If I could have had any job in the world I would probably have chosen to be a vet working with wild exotic animals, or a forensic pathologist. Both very different jobs you may think. The connection between them is about solving a mystery through facts and links because you cannot ask the subject any questions. I would say I have a good intuition for underlying problems. Most of the massage clients I treat know I have probably already figured out where to massage before they’ve told me the sore spot. And I’ve probably found several other places as well. It’s the same with hypnotherapy and counselling skills. It’s about picking up on those facts and feelings between the words, which usually helps me to solve problems. So if you didn’t get to do your dream job there is often an opportunity to get involved as a volunteer. If you need a boost to make that phone call or write that email, you only have to book in for a session with me to make that start. Who knows? The next time you look at my blog, you may be looking back saying ‘I did it’. Shut your eyes now and just imagine yourself doing whatever it is you’d like to do, just for 5 minutes. Have a great week. For more information CLICK For bookings CLICK Becky www.beckywells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Trying to write a blog tonight but my mind is rather blank. Do you ever have one of those days when nothing sticks and your mind appears to have come in a non-stick variety? It started to make me realise it’s a bit like our daily life. We start with a blank page and fill it with thoughts, feelings and emotions gradually throughout the day. If you could write your own page out with no restrictions I wonder what it would read like? Would you be writing about getting up at a later time than you have to? Would you be working somewhere completely different or maybe lying on a beach somewhere instead? Find a page in a diary or just a blank piece of paper. Write down your ideal day, how you’d feel, and then I challenge to do it. I know some of you have already started on them. If for some of those changes you need an extra hand, you know where I am. Two hundred people got together to raise money for a little girl who needs an operation in the US. Organised by a godmother of Matilda, the ball was a fantastic night out. Live auctions of gifts money just can’t buy, raffles and photo-booths. All with one thing in common, they were donating their time and skills to www.walkingmatildausa.com Did we all know Matilda? I found out a lot of us did not before hearing about the events, but we had all been touched by the story and wanted to help. Would you consider helping a complete stranger? I can highly recommend it, it’s so rewarding. It doesn’t always have to cost anything, a friendly smile, a hug even the use of a friendly ear. I know some will not understand why I do it. I know that some of you have already got involved. I’ve set up a new Facebook page ‘Pay it Forward Sussex’, let’s see how far these ripples from the South can go. “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” Tonight I am heading off to Matilda’s party (www.walkingmatildausa.com), to dance the night away in support of this young girl who needs an operation which the NHS are unable to fund. I am even wearing a dress, as I thought I wouldn’t get away with calling jeans and a polo shirt, smart. So I have a black dress and black shoes with no heels to save the embarrassment of breaking my neck, trying to wear heels. It’s great to get dressed up and I love to meet new people, you find out the most amazing things about individuals sometimes. Who knows what stories I will come back with. Going out with friends doesn’t have to be expensive; it can be as simple as packing a picnic and heading to a local park. Fresh air, yes I do mean even in the cold weather (that’s what coats, hats and gloves were invented for). Your own favourite foods and friends are a perfect ingredients for fun. Now I can’t teach you to dance, but I can help to take you in a positive direction if your confidence prevents you from suggesting such as event. In Sussex we have the most amazing countryside, Winnie the Pooh country is just on our doorstep, in the form of the Ashdown Forest. A magic place which if you take a book along allows you to feel like you’re part of the story. Unleash the world around you and give me a call. I’m just off to pin Eyeore's tail back on again. Becky www.BeckyWells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com How would you describe yourself if you had to describe yourself as a menu? If you had to set your life out as a menu, I wonder which dishes you would include? For my starter, I would choose a prawn cocktail. My foundations and beliefs are based on values from the past. So a little bit of 70’s / 80’s nostalgia describes my core beliefs. For my mains, I would have to describe myself as a fillet steak with handmade chips and fresh seasonal vegetables. Full of energy, no hidden surprises, what you see is what you get. Finally me as a dessert? Well I would have to say profiteroles. Protective shell on the outside, sweet and cheeky filling on the inside and something you can feel you could always go back to again and again. Because it feels like your best friend. What would your menu consist of, is there a menu you can see but just can’t find the ingredients? Why not ask me, I may be able to help turn your menu in to a Michelin star review for you.
