After great success with weight loss hypnotherapy, I have decided to extend the services I offer to include gastric band hypnotherapy. I have been given a script by a hypnotherapist who has had great success with this in his 20 years of working in the industry. I look forward to extending my client base even further with this new method.
Why try hypnotherapy gastric band therapy? Read about the risks of an increased weight at the hypnotherapy directories website here
and the answer will be clear to you... For your future health.

What have you got to lose? Potentially a weight off your mind.

I don’t know about the rest of you but it was refreshing to see the sun today in the Great British Isles. Although I’d seen it on my holidays last week, you can’t beat a cool spring day with the sun shining and a long walk.
Exercise doesn’t have to cost a penny. If you go out for a walk you are surrounded by the most amazing countryside. How many times a year do you go out for a walk? Can you count them on one hand?
Put your wellies on, go tread in a few puddles and let the fresh air circulate round your body.
If you need more than that to motivate you, give me a call and we’ll get the fitness ball rolling for you.
I may be a bit of clown but being funny has it serious points. Have you ever seen the film ‘Patch Adams’, the Doctor who helped people with laughter?
If you haven’t, I highly recommend it. It’s based on a true story and the real Patch Adams is still going strong and heads up the Gesundheit Institute in the USA
Google it, it’s an amazing place and a really inspirational concept.
In every job I’ve done, I always try to bring a sense of humour and by bringing people together with humour; you find that any job can be fun.
I remember a version of Thriller reinacted down a hospital corridor in my previous job and God only knows the number of outfits I’ve changed into whilst teaching Aqua.
I will continue to try and raise a smile and bring people together because that is what I do. Feel free to join me if you dare, who knows one day I might get to visit the Gesundheit Institute. I’m sure I’ll fit in rather well there, don’t you?
How’s everybody’s week been? I hope you’ve had a good one.
As usual I’ve had a fun filled one, never quite knowing what’s round the corner type of week. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I promised myself a long time ago if I didn’t like something I’d change it.
I also made a promise to myself that I would not judge what I hear from others. Sometimes I go and get things wrong but all I put that down to is a new life lesson. I like to think of my life as on a quite squiggly line, always going to get somewhere, sometimes taking the strangest route on the way. Isn’t that the fun of it though?
Have a fantastic weekend. If you get the chance to do something different, grab it with both hands and go along for the ride, barefoot if you like. So what if you get muddy feet?
After seeing a couple of clients today, it reminded me why I think I am good at what I do. With all my clients, whether they are hypnotherapy, Personal Training or sports massage clients, I try to put myself in their shoes, so to speak.
No I don’t have some strange foot fetish before you start to wonder, I mean in the metaphorical sense.
Let’s take, for example, a highly skilled executive that comes to see me. When I first met him he came across as bold, confident and sometimes quite abrupt.
What I might find underneath is an unconfident introvert inside an extrovert shell.
What I try to do with my skills is unravel the layers of protection that have been built up, a bit like an onion with its outer layer thickened by the environment.
I help take the layers off one by one until I reach the centre, then, and almost as important, I help them to use those layers to make something even better.
So if you would like a hand unpeeling that onion, I have the utensils to give you a hand. I’ll even give you a tissue if it makes your eyes water. As we know teardrops are made of 1% water
I got the chance last week to demonstrate some abdominal exercises to Simon Robb from the West Sussex County Times, ETC Magazine. Putting together a few of the well-known exercises, I put Simon through his paces.
You can watch the results at http://www.wscountytimes.co.uk/news/videos-and-slideshows/video-how-to-get-fab-abs-for-the-summer-1-4816566
Would you like to work on getting that beach fit body for the summer and combining it with hypnotherapy? Change those re-occurring habits, kicking them out the door forever?
Why not give me a call, I will put together a mind, body package that will make you feel like an ‘A’ list celebrity, turning heads on every beach and street you step on to.
Today I went back to my fitness roots as I had booked myself on a group fitness-training course. If I had been told before that I could rest as much as I need I’d never have believed you could run a class like this and still feel like you’ve had the best workout ever.
So what is this course? It was called ‘Metabolic effect’ training. To put it in a nutshell it focuses on changing the fat-burning hormonal response to exercise and diet. It does this by changing hormones. Rather than simply eating less or exercising more, the body naturally regulates fat burning, appetite, and mood so that motivation for exercise is enhanced while cravings for food are reduced.
So how did I survive a whole day of exercise? Well I am pretty sure every magazine editor and team I’ve ever worked with, and all the Personal Training clients I have ever put through mountain climbers, squats and lunges, would be pleased to learn that I have done a few hundred of them today.
It got to the point towards the end of the day when I was wondering if I could extend the rest time until the following Sunday.
So watch out friends, I will be looking for willing volunteers to test this out on soon. So if you see me coming you might want to hide!
Anyway I’m off to find a box or two of radox to soak in, as I have a feeling I may need a Zimmer frame to move tomorrow.
To be continued ….

It was great to have the family together today for my parents’ wedding anniversary. What stood out for me was the age range of those in the room. We had the latest addition to the family who is now 6 months old and will be taking the new generation into the 22nd century no doubt, then my Nan who at 97, can tell you all about things that have happened in the last century. So in the room we have history makers that between them will cover around 200 years, maybe more, as we are living so much longer these days.
I wonder how they will look back at us in the year 2013 in 20-30 years time? We look at fashion and laugh and the following year you find we’re all wearing it.
What about therapies, just a few years ago people thought you only went to see a therapist if you had a serious mental health issue. Now we have come to realise it’s much better to get it sorted before it gets out of hand.
As the advert always said “it’s good to talk”.
I have found that a big percentage of my work in the exercise industry relied on listening to the individual in front of me and as well as changing their exercise habits, it was just as important to change the way they felt about themselves.
If you want a programme that changes you inside and out, give me a call.

How many times have you envied those skinny individuals that walk past you on the street and who can eat anything without getting fat? Yes we all know one, I am guessing.
So what’s a TOFI? Thin outside fat inside, as quoted by Dr Jimmy Bell, a professor at Imperial College London.
According to his research people who ‘look’ the ideal weight can still suffer from the same medical conditions as those who are overweight.
Because they think they are ok, they may eat too many fatty or sugary foods, which the body then stores around the belly first.
So how can I get rid of internal fat? That’s the easy one. All you have to do is change your diet and ensure you have a good exercise regime.
In my Personal Training role I take a group of individuals of different shapes and fitness levels and devise the best exercise programme for them.
Combine this with my hypnotherapy skills and you get an amazing all round package where not only does the exercise change your body, but the hypnotherapy helps you to kick those negative habits once and for all.
Get in touch, if you want to change your mind, change you life and change your future.

How many times have you enjoyed a meal so much that you finished your plate even though you were full up. An uncomfortable feeling creeps up on you and you still have to take that one extra mouthful.
We’ve all done it. I did it tonight. I’m feeling like a Buddha-shaped girl.
Many people have a compulsion to over eat. It’s not something they can help. Actually in most cases it’s just a habit that has become out of control due to any number of reasons. Maybe that’s you.
So if I asked you what caused your excessive eating you might say “I do it when I am upset”, “It started when I retired”, “When I lost my job” or another life changing and upsetting event.
Hypnotherapy allows you to access your own subconscious mind where your bad habits and your bad life experiences are stored. Working with your hypnotherapist these issues are examined and demystified.
In a safe environment, you are taught to relax and allow your subconscious mind to open up and make a positive effect on your future behavior around food.
So put down that knife and fork, take a few deep breaths and give me a call.
Hypnotherapy is an ancient, safe and effective tool that helps you use the power of your subconscious mind to enhance your conscious daily life. It can soothe fears, mend uncomfortable thoughts and bring you closer to the person you want to be and CAN be.
